You will be joining the Atos Public Safety team in Greece, employing more than 70 highly skilled software professionals, who develop products and solutions leading the transformation of existing Emergency Services into the next generation solution and providing state of the art technology for fast and accurate delivery of emergency information including voice, data and video to first responders.

Requirements

Main responsibilities

  • End-User Support: Provide on-site technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving connectivity problems, and assisting with peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners)
  • Network Management: Manage and maintain the organization's Cisco-based network infrastructure. This includes configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting network-related problems.
  • VMware Administration: Administer VMware virtualization solutions, including vSphere and ESXi. Create and manage virtual machines, monitor virtual infrastructure performance, and troubleshoot virtualization issues.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware maintenance and repairs for servers, workstations, and network equipment. This may involve replacing faulty components, upgrading hardware, and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Software Support: Assist users with software installation, updates, and configurations. Troubleshoot software-related issues and collaborate with the IT team to deploy and maintain software applications.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure that the organization's IT environment complies with security policies and practices. Implement security patches, updates, and protocols to safeguard against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes. This documentation helps in knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • User Training: Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate end-users on IT best practices, security awareness, and efficient system usage.
  • Inventory Management: Manage IT inventory, including tracking hardware and software assets, ordering new equipment, and managing warranties and licenses.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity specialists, to ensure seamless IT operations.

Technical Skills

  • Cisco Networking: Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Familiarity with Cisco IOS and Cisco networking protocols is essential.
  • VMware Administration: Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server. The ability to create, configure, and manage virtual machines is crucial.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux Server) is advantageous.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with computer hardware components, including CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and peripheral devices. The ability to diagnose and replace faulty hardware is important.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation for IT systems and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users and collaborate with other IT team members effectively.

Additional skills to be considered as advantages

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Cisco's CCNA VMware's VCP, and CompTIA's A+ or Network+, can be beneficial.
  • Scripting and Automation: Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automating routine tasks and configurations can be a plus.
  • Security Awareness: Knowledge of IT security best practices, including firewall configurations, access control, and data encryption.
