The objective of Level-2 Industrial Applications Developer is the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Level-2 industrial applications used to support our manufacturing/operations processes. Aim is to work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and data analysis capabilities. Important aspect is also to provide technical support to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and ensure optimal system performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper operation of Level-2 industrial applications under his responsibility
- Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, monitors system health, takes frequent backups, installs updates, fixes, or patches to Level-2 systems
- Collaborates with internal users and external vendors in case of an incident to achieve proper incident resolution with minimum downtime
- Collaborates with external partners to ensures the provision of the agreed quality of maintenance and support services
- Safeguards authentication, authorization, and proper access of shop floor users to Level-2 industrial applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to shop floor servers and workstations, hosting Level-2 industrial applications
- Provides training to Level-2 users and communicates with them to diagnose the nature of any issues they are experiencing, aiming to provide solutions that ensure business continuity
- Acts as liaison between shop floor plant production teams and IT on topics related to Level-2 industrial applications under his responsibility
- Analyzes, designs, develops, delivers, and supports Level-2 industrial applications based on plant production business requirements
- Provides oversight to OT cybersecurity implementation activities for Level-2 industrial applications in accordance with group security guidelines
