Responsibilities

Role Description: 
The objective of the BI Senior Data Engineer is to design, build, and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on developing robust data pipelines, semantic models, and BI-ready datasets that enable reliable reporting and advanced analytics. Collaborates closely with business stakeholders and BI developers to translate requirements into secure, and governed data solutions, while promoting best practices across the analytics platform.

Main Responsibilities:
·         Design and build end-to-end data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, i.e., Data Factory Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebook-based pipelines
·         Implement and maintain Lakehouse architecture such as delta tables, medallion layers, governance frameworks
·         Develop solutions in Fabric Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, and integrate with Power BI semantic models
·         Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability through automated testing, validation frameworks, and monitoring
·         Perform performance optimization such as query optimization, cost management, workload scaling
·         Collaborate closely with Data Architects, BI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
·         Apply data governance policies, including security, lineage, access control, and Purview integration
·         Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to the team’s engineering standards and best practices
·         Provide ongoing 24x7 support to ensure no disruption of business operations

Requirements

Data Analytics
 
  • BSc/MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or any other relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering within an enterprise environment
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and its modules (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, Notebooks)
  • Experience in Python and SQL for data transformation and pipeline development
  • Strong understanding of Delta Lake, medallion architecture, distributed processing, and Spark optimization
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, ingestion patterns, and orchestration
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and cost optimization practices
  • Knowledge of data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault, star/snowflake schemas)
  • Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git repositories, deployment automation)
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and metadata management will be highly appreciated
  • Azure/Fabric certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect is considered a plus
  • Proficient in English language
