About us
Founded in 2015 in Athens, Greece, Welcome redefines the way people travel by going above and beyond the commoditized transfer service and being the first company to deliver a complete, personalised, in-destination travel experience. From the moment a traveler arrives at a new destination, until their return journey home, Welcome Pickups accommodates all their travel needs, including transfers, sightseeing trips, and local information, in the easiest, friendliest, and most personalised way possible. About the role
Our Engineers are a core part of our business, transforming our vision and mission from words to actual product so travelers, drivers, and partners can actually use our services.
The tech infrastructure and all the code that runs on production servers is the beating heart of Welcome and this role holds a key figure in proceeding with the necessary enhancements and changes to provide a flawless experience to the user.
Our full stack approach the last 18 months has provided us with great results. Our engineers are mostly back-end oriented working on logic, APIs and databases while at the same time they can build functional UI on React, with existing pre-designed & built components. When we have new UI Components and front-end / UI gets more, a dedicated front-end developer will be working along with you to ship the final result.
