Enerwave is currently seeking a Key Account Manager in Athens. The role serves as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for key clients in the natural gas and electricity market. Beyond achieving sales targets, the position is designed to drive sustainable business growth by combining commercial excellence with analytical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for strengthening client relationships through tailored energy solutions, identifying new business opportunities through data-driven insights, and actively contributing to product development in collaboration with the Marketing and Energy Management departments. In addition, the role includes a knowledge-sharing dimension, supporting the development of colleagues and contributing to the enhancement of the organization’s overall commercial capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the company’s direct sales strategy for Large Corporate and Business Customer segments, aligned with overall commercial objectives. 
  • Achieves direct sales targets by effectively managing pipeline, opportunities, and resource allocation. 
  • Manages and grows a portfolio of key accounts, identifying opportunities to expand electricity and natural gas contracts. 
  • Identifies, approaches, and onboard new strategic clients to expand the company’s customer base. 
  • Develops and executes tailored sales plans for key prospects and existing customers to drive revenue growth. 
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. 
  • Supports clients in optimizing energy usage, understanding regulatory developments, and aligning their energy strategy with company offerings. 
  • Analyzes market trends, client consumption patterns, and portfolio performance to identify new commercial opportunities. 
  • Monitors the competitive landscape, including products and services, to maintain a strong market position. 
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Energy Management teams to co-develop innovative and customer-centric energy solutions. 
  • Oversees the full sales cycle from customer acquisition through to contract negotiation and final signing. 
  • Manages contracts proactively, including renewals, follow-ups, and monitoring of key contractual milestones and expiry dates. 
  • Tracks sales performance metrics, maintains accurate reporting, and provides regular and ad-hoc updates to the Direct Sales Section Manager. 
  • Contributes to the company’s budgeting process, particularly regarding Direct Sales costs and planning. 
  • Designs and delivers training sessions, sharing best practices and market insights to enhance overall commercial team performance.

Team Leadership
  • A BSc in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Economics or Relevant.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Account Management or Business Development.
  • Advanced level in MS Office & Salesforce.
  • Advanced level in English.
  • Good overall understanding of the energy industry, trends and products. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Thinking & Data-Driven Decision Making skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Leadership & people management skills.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Coaching skills.
