SYNTAX IT Group is seeking a highly skilled Java/Full Stack Software Engineer to develop scalable enterprise software solutions. The role involves back-end development with Java, Angular-based front-end work, and contributing to R&D projects in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, high-quality software solutions across back-end technologies, primarily using Java
Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver impactful solutions
Understand and maintain Angular-based front-end applications
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices like test-driven development (TDD) and code reviews
Design, build, and integrate APIs using REST standards, working with API Gateways
Ensure software quality by implementing unit testing, integration testing, and automated test strategies
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines, within an Agile/Scrum environment
Support application reliability by contributing to logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments
Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to enhance development processes and system performance
Document technical designs and processes, contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practices

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
4+ years of hands-on experience in back-end development with strong Java OOP skills
Strong experience with the Java Spring Boot framework
Strong experience with API design
Solid understanding of Javascript-based front-end development
Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, Postgres) and messaging systems (Kafka)
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
Basic understanding of distributed systems and integration concepts
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in both Greek and English
Enthusiasm for software development, coding, programming challenges, and problem-solving
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients
Strong organizational, time management, collaboration, and prioritization skills
Customer-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
