We are looking for a Software Engineer who will design, develop, maintain, and test reliable, secure, and scalable applications built on .NET Core/C# with RESTful Web APIs and a React front end. They leverage cloud-native technologies—including serverless architecture where appropriate—as well as on-premises resources, and adopt DevOps/CI/CD practices throughout the SDLC. The role consistently applies SOLID and Clean Code principles, collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, and ensures solutions align with business objectives and security best practices.

Responsibilities

Act with professionalism, ethics and a high sense of responsibility and collegiality, at all times.
Design, code, and test full-stack applications using .NET Core/C# (RESTful Web APIs) for back end and React JS or Blazor for front end, including the integration of external APIs, automation services, and managed AI capabilities where required, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
Participate in technical analysis and solution design, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to translate business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, including AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.
Design and implement database schemas and optimize data access primarily on SQL Server.
Leverage cloud-native technologies (e.g., containers, orchestration, serverless patterns, and managed cloud or AI services) alongside on-premises resources to build and deploy secure, reliable, and scalable applications.
Incorporate DevOps practices in day-to-day activities—CI/CD pipelines and automated testing—to improve operational efficiency and delivery quality.
Apply SDLC discipline, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices; maintain high-quality technical documentation (designs/ADRs) and perform thorough code reviews.
Implement security best practices, including appropriate data protection and access controls when integrating external or AI-enabled services, and designs for scalability to ensure systems remain resilient as business needs evolve.
Implement unit and integration tests and collaborate with QA/QA Automation to expand test coverage and integrate automated tests into CI/CD.
Use Git effectively with established branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow or trunk-based) and actively participate in pull-request reviews.
Participate as 2nd or 3rd Level support in incident or problem management activities with regard to applications developed in-house.
Continuously learn and evaluate technologies, including emerging AI-assisted and AI-enabled development capabilities; propose improvements and develops/enhances solutions to support core business, automation, and digitalization needs, participating in proofs of concept where appropriate.

A BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
3-7 years of relevant working experience as a software developer in Microsoft .NET (full framework and/or .NET Core).
Ability to build scalable and responsive web applications using .NET and modern front-end frameworks, with hands-on experience in C#, LINQ, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server.
Experience with relational databases (such as MS SQL Server), including schema design, querying, query optimization και integration in enterprise applications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Core: C#, .NET Core, Web API/REST/JSON, React JS, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Entity Framework, SQL Server, cloud-native (including serverless), containers (Docker), Git, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, SOLID and Clean Code principles, SDLC discipline, code reviews, and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address complex technical issues.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies, including emerging AI-assisted and AI-enabled capabilities, business requirements, and project scopes, and to collaborate effectively with external specialists when additional expertise is required.
Willingness to stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the software development field.

Good to have

Proven experience in both front-end and back-end development, working across the complete software development lifecycle.
3+ years of experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React (preferred), Angular, or Vue. Familiarity with Blazor is considered a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps principles, including continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment pipelines. Familiarity with tools like Git, GitHub Actions.
Experience with cloud-native technologies, including serverless patterns, containers such as Docker, external APIs, and managed cloud services, and working knowledge of both cloud and on-premises architectures. Exposure to the integration of AI-enabled services would be considered an advantage.
AI-assisted and AI-enabled development: Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools for code generation, refactoring, test authoring, and documentation, including effective prompting and safe and compliant usage. Basic understanding of how pre-trained AI models and managed AI services can be consumed through APIs and integrated into software applications would be considered an advantage.
Legacy exposure: ASP.NET MVC, Blazor, Angular, Vue, SOAP, XAML, DevExpress.
At least one of the following Certifications: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204),Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900).
AI-assisted development: GitHub Copilot (Visual Studio/VS Code), effective prompt design for code generation, refactoring, and test authoring; safe and compliant usage.
Exposure to Azure AI services, intelligent document processing, generative AI APIs, workflow automation, or similar technologies would be considered an advantage.
