At WeConnect, we build software products that connect business systems, ERPs, marketplaces and external services.
One of our main products, MyData Ease, retrieves accounting data from our customers’ systems, applies business and tax rules and transmits it to AADE myDATA and certified e-invoicing providers.
Which means that this role sits somewhere between:
people + accounting + ERP + APIs + databases + detective work.
And yes, occasionally all of them at once.
To become really good at this role, you’ll gradually need to understand:
how ERPs work — and our customers use pretty much every ERP you can think of,
accounting — the more you know, the easier your life becomes,
myDATA rules — which change often enough to keep things interesting,
SQL and basic database management,
REST APIs,
basic Linux,
and how our products fit all of the above together.
You do not need to know everything already.
You do need to enjoy learning whatever you don’t know yet.
On a normal day, you may:
Talk with a customer to understand whether they have an issue, a question or a new requirement.
Investigate what really happened instead of guessing.
Read logs, run SQL queries and use REST APIs to troubleshoot problems.
Test the application and verify that a solution actually works.
Configure and customize our products based on each customer’s ERP and business flows.
Document what happened, how it was solved and what someone else should know if it ever happens again.
Look for ways to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
We get bored very quickly with repetitive work.
If you solve the same problem three times, we will probably ask why we haven’t automated it yet.
genuinely like helping people,
enjoy understanding how systems work,
are comfortable saying “I don’t know yet, let me find out,”
like organizing information — because the rest of us could use the help,
use AI as a tool, not as a substitute for thinking,
and prefer fixing the root cause rather than repeating the same workaround forever.
If what you want is to learn five standard answers and repeat them to every customer, this probably isn’t the role for you.
If you like problems where the answer is sometimes hidden somewhere between an ERP field, an accounting rule, a JSON payload and a database row, we should talk.
