Your role as an Operational Support Analyst offers a dynamic environment where technical problem-solving meets real-time operational impact. It provides hands-on experience with critical systems, exposing analysts to a broad range of technologies, from databases to automation tools. By working closely with development teams and engaging in root cause analysis, process improvements, and system optimizations, this role naturally builds a strong technical foundation. Over time, those with a keen interest in deeper technical challenges will find opportunities to expand their skill set, whether through scripting, integrations, or system enhancements, making this a great stepping stone for various career paths within technology

During your tenure, you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:

  • Monitor and maintain business-critical applications and systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and working proactively to prevent recurrence.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests, prioritizing and escalating where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams, acting as a bridge between technical and operational functions.
  • Analyze system performance and suggest improvements, contributing to process automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices, ensuring knowledge is shared and continuously improved.
  • Support deployment activities and change management processes, helping to ensure smooth software releases and system updates.
  • Enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities, leveraging tools and scripts to improve incident detection and response.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent foundational knowledge through coursework, internships, or self-learning.
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop technical problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A sense of ownership and commitment, taking responsibility for issues from identification to resolution.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases, including an understanding of queries and data retrieval.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure infrastructure or a strong interest in cloud technologies.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to follow troubleshooting steps and escalate when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuously looking for ways to improve processes and prevent recurring issues.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain issues clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Attention to detail and accountability, ensuring accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and operational processes.
  • A team-oriented approach, collaborating effectively while taking initiative when required.

Good to have

  • Experience working in the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure/.NET).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes.
  • Experience in log analysis and debugging using monitoring tools.
