Hellas Gold is the leading mining companies for gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc in Greece and we are looking for a training engineer to join our Training Center in Chalkidiki. The training engineer will analyze training needs and develop effective learning solutions that address performance gaps in close collaboration with functional areas. Create and review curricula and capacity-building tools, monitor the quality of structured learning experiences, and assess the impact of training on employee skills and key performance indicators. The job also requires maintaining training records, assist in preparing and updating annual training plans, and staying up-to-date with industry standards to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

Work closely with functional areas in a consultative manner to perform training needs analysis and determine how/if a learning solutionb will close a performance gap, alone or in conjunction with other non-learning interventions.
Create and review training curricula and other capacity-building tools for their functional area skills in collaboration with various teams.
Review and edit curricula and other tools created by consultants and external partners to ensure consistent quality, content, methodologies, approach, and style.
Collaborate to prepare and update the annual training plan of the assigned department/function along with the departmentbmanagers/superintendents.
Create and follow-up training and assessment schedules for their department/function, and track and create reports on outcomes of alln learning activities.
Ensure training records are maintained as per standard for both employees and contractors.
Develop and review training materials such as presentations, manuals, videos and interactive modules to facilitate learning
Apply principles of instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences, incorporating multimedia, interactive activities, and assessments
Conduct training sessions through various formats, including classroom instruction, workshops, webinar, or online learning platforms.They may also deliver one-on-one coaching or mentoring sessions.
Ensure that training programs comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality assurance processes.

University degree in Mining Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
1-4 years of experience with process engineering; ideally in the context of mineral or materials processing (e.g., crushing, grinding, leaching, precipitation, purification).
Solid understanding of process flowsheets and key production steps within processing operations.
Strong analytical thinking, quick perception, and ability to take initiative in solving real-world problems.
Willingness to spend significant time on-site (field or plant), participating in observations, training, and process improvements.
Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate across different technical teams.

Good to have

Certified Professional in Training Management is a plus.
Certifications in Industrial Safety, preferable.
