We are currently looking for a Regulatory Affairs Officer who will monitor and analyze regulatory developments in Greece, the European Union and other relevant jurisdictions, with particular focus on renewable energy sources (RES), energy storage systems (BESS) and electricity markets. The Officer supports the company’s regulatory positioning by assessing policy developments, identifying regulatory risks and opportunities, and contributing to the development of the company’s regulatory strategy.The role includes regulatory analysis related to renewable energy projects, energy storage systems and emerging energy market frameworks, as well as comparative analysis of regulatory developments across jurisdictions. 

Responsibilities

 
What will you do: 
  • Track and analyze regulatory developments in Greece, the EU and other relevant jurisdictions related to renewable energy sources (RES), energy storage systems (BESS), electricity market design and energy transition policies.
  • Assess potential impacts on the company’s activities and provide timely internal reporting.
  • Support the assessment of regulatory implications for the company’s investment and business development activities, particularly in renewable energy and energy storage projects.
  • Contribute to the development and update of the company’s regulatory strategy through regulatory analysis and monitoring of policy developments.
  • Identify relevant public consultations at national and EU level and coordinate input from relevant divisions.
  • Support communications with regulatory authorities and assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and reports.
  • Contribute to the company’s engagement with industry associations and policy stakeholders at national and European level.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, policy briefs and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
  • Maintain structured records of regulatory developments and departmental documentation.
  • Support licensing and regulatory procedures related to energy projects and company operations.
 

Requirements

Engineering
 
What you need to be successful: 
  • A BSc in Engineering or Economics.
  • Relevant post-graduate degree in Energy or Energy Economics is considered an asset.
  • 4+ years of relevant working experience in the energy sector, including exposure to electricity market regulation, RES/BESS regulatory frameworks, EU energy policy developments.
  • Excellent command of the English language. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Data analysis tools and spreadsheet modelling.
  • Technical, regulatory and interpersonal skills to navigate sector complexity.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of energy sector regulations.
  • Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Proficient in presentation and reporting skills.
