Basic Information

At METLEN Energy & Metals, we are catalysts for a sustainable future, positioned at the forefront of the energy transition while being a reference point for competitive green metallurgy at both the European and global levels.  We are a global industrial and energy company operating across two highly interconnected and complementary sectors: Energy and Metals. With a consolidated turnover of €5,683 million and an EBITDA of €1,080 million, along with a workforce of over 7,627 dedicated individuals, we drive success through cutting-edge technology and diverse talent.

About the Team

You will join a specialized Design team based in Paiania, Athens, reporting to the Design Manager. The team works across multiple concurrent projects, from proposal stage through to commissioning, covering Power Plants, High & Extra-High Voltage Substations, Industrial Facilities, and Data Centers, both in Greece and internationally, with key projects currently underway in Poland and the UK.

This is not a hands-on drafting role. The role focuses on study, review, and technical specification — owning the engineering judgment behind each project, not the drafting board.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate HVAC conceptual, basic, and detailed design deliverables prepared by external design partners

  • Develop and review technical specifications and datasheets for HVAC equipment (large-scale HVAC, ventilation, and cooling systems)

  • Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, System & Functional Descriptions, Control Diagrams, and General Arrangement drawings

  • Evaluate supplier proposals for HVAC equipment procurement

  • Coordinate with BMS vendors and the Electrical department to ensure correct system integration and MCC panel sizing

  • Support construction and installation teams — including on-site reviews and study revisions as needed

  • Conduct site supervision visits to observe and verify construction and installation progress (occasional travel, typically a few days per quarter or per project milestone)

  • Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities

  • Participate in design review meetings from proposal approval through to commissioning
