We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Engineer to strengthen our HSE culture and support the sustainable development and efficient operation of our port and waste management activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with all legislative and corporate HSE requirements, and contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the Waste Treatment Plant.
Ensure the Port adopts the highest standards and approach to HSE matters and that employee welfare is at a high level.
Manage and carry out regular HSE audits and inspections ensuring timely closure of all identified actions.
Is responsible for the overall planning, application, control and check of the HSE standards and their certification process.
Identify legal and other requirements (e.g. ISO) and acknowledges all necessary steps for the company's compliance to them.
Make suggestions on what the company’s targets should be in order to improve the related HSE procedures.
Manage HSE incidents investigation process ensuring all incidents are investigated and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Ensure proper implementation of fire safety measures and compliance with relevant legislation
Ensure proper HSE training of all employees
Manage contractors and ensure that they comply with the relevant legal and other HSE requirements
Bachelor degree in Engineering field.
Postgraduate degree will be considered as an asset.
At least 3-5 years’ professional experience on an industrial sector.
Excellent command in Greek and English language (written and spoken).
Computer literate.
Strong analytical and communications skills
Knowledge of lean management techniques
