We are looking for a Technical Director to join our team.
The Technical Director is responsible for providing high-level technical leadership, ensuring the soundness of engineering decisions, and supporting the team in resolving complex technical challenges.The role serves as the organization's senior technical authority, ensuring that all engineering studies and designs are based on sound engineering judgment, well-substantiated assumptions, regulatory compliance, and effective technical risk mitigation.
Defines or recommends the overall technical approach for complex engineering projects.
Reviews and approves critical engineering assumptions, analysis methodologies, and key technical decisions.
Evaluates alternative solutions based on safety, engineering justification, constructability, and technical risk.
Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the company's engineering philosophy, methodologies, and technical standards.
Leads the resolution of critical or non-standard technical issues.
Provides expert guidance in situations involving technical uncertainty or conflicting engineering requirements.
Recommends well-founded technical solutions to the engineering team, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, or senior management.
Supports high-risk projects, structural assessments, strengthening and rehabilitation works, bridges, special structures, and other technically demanding engineering solutions.
Reviews key engineering assumptions, analytical models, calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
Identifies technical gaps, inconsistencies, or insufficiently justified engineering decisions.
Approves critical technical aspects of project deliverables before issuance, where required.
Focuses on engineering soundness and technical integrity rather than solely on procedural compliance.
Shares technical knowledge and engineering best practices across the team.
Mentors junior engineers on engineering methodology, design principles, applicable codes, and standards.
Assesses the technical complexity of new projects during the bidding and planning phases.
Supports the preparation of technical proposals, tenders, and specialized engineering documentation.
