We are currently seeking an Innovation & Development Senior Engineer who will be responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective new products that meet the required aesthetic, functional, safety and environmental standards within the company's business deadlines. Proven expertise in Development Projects is required, together with experience in cross-functional collaboration and collaboration with external manufacturing partners (OEMs).
Creation of new products, starting from the interpretation of internal/external customer technical specifications, moving on to the preparation of internal technical specifications in line with industry standards and protocols, and culminating in conceptual design, detailed drafting and the release of Engineering drawings.
Participating in or leading Projects through to on-time delivery, applying Project Management skills.
Conducting or participating in team design reviews, including FMEA and value engineering analyses at different development stages, ensuring the product meets the required safety, cost, performance, reliability, aesthetic and manufacturability specifications.
Conducting testing processes on concepts to validate compliance with safety, performance and reliability specifications. Operating and calibrating the climatic chamber and maintaining related infrastructure.
Participating in prototype preparation, Pilot Series and 1st serial production, as well as the related reviews.
Managing both off-the-shelf sourcing and co-development projects with Manufacturing Partners/OEMs, ensuring compliance with Frigoglass technical specifications, industry standards and end-customer requirements, as well as on-time delivery. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and quality assurance protocols will be an advantage; the role requires fast reaction capability and readiness for on-site OEM visits when required.
Senior Engineer, with 5+ years of experience in design and product development preferably in the FMCG industry.
Familiarity with parametric 3D CAD/PLM systems is mandatory. Experience with Creo/Windchill PLM will be a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
Proficient in English at minimum.
A background in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is desirable, so the candidate understands the product development cycle, regulatory compliance requirements and the necessary product validations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exposure to multi-cultural collaboration (Europe & Far East) will be a plus.
Travel requirements (Europe & Far East): between 10-20% of time.
