Basic Information

On behalf of our client, one of the leading mining companies for gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc in Greece, we are looking for a Mechanical and Projects Engineer. The Mechanical and Projects Engineer is responsible for overseeing the mechanical projects and ensuring timely execution while providing support to the teams.

Responsibilities

Champion workplace safety by proactively identifying hazards, engaging in safety improvements, and fulfilling all reporting requirements.
Develop, review, and refine the Mechanical Engineering designs, concepts, plans and standards, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of mechanical installations throughout the mine's lifecycle.
Foster clear and effective communication, ensuring that all teams understand their mechanical requirements and contributions.
Offer robust mechanical engineering support to project, operations, and maintenance teams, enhancing our collaborative environment.
Oversee the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair processes, prioritizing safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency.
Lead and manage capital project initiatives and identify capital initiatives for upcoming financial years.
Identify risks and hazards and apply effective controls through to use of Management of Change processes and formal risk assessments.
Develop and refine equipment maintenance strategies though the use of RCM principles.
Identify, design, and implement safety and equipment performance improvements and ensure drawings management is up to date.

Requirements

Mechanical Engineering

Project Management

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Formal qualifications in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering,
2+ years of experience in a similar position.
