On behalf of our partner, one of the leading mining companies for gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc in Greece, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Project Manager, responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across Olympias mine. 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and discuss with his/her supervisor, critical Technology, processing, mechanical and construction projects that provides attractive NPV and IRR rates and creates increase of profitability inside the organization.
  • Identify and having the ability to design and implement new technological projects that will provide new business opportunities and significant cost reductions.
  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
  • Work with key business stakeholders, to fully implement continuous improvement projects that will be assigned from the departmental prioritization matrix
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
  • Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system
  • Assist in change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
  • Work with other team members and business services departments to devise new support material based on the revised processes, to include training, reporting and systems enhancements.
  • Actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance.
  • Ensure the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported and managed at all times.

  • University Degree in Mining, Chemical, Automation Engineering or in Finance.
  • Minimum 5-7 years proven experience in a similar role or in a leading role in Technology or process management
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong processes understanding in the mining sector
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet targets on time
  • Excellent user of Excel, Power Point, BI, Outlook, Visio, Access,
  • Very good knowledge of New Technology implementation
