On behalf of our partner, one of the leading mining companies for gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc in Greece, we are looking for a senior Industrial Construction Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead the implementation of capital projects, ensuring maximum safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. The role involves developing project plans, managing budgets, schedules, and risks, and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing technical and non-technical aspects, approving execution plans, budgets, and schedules, resolving technical issues, and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Technical:

Develop and execute integrated project plans, scopes, and schedules to meet stakeholder requirements.
Manage technical requirements, including technology selection and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Monitor budgets and ensure project completion within approved financial limits.
Establish and enforce quality management systems for all project stages.
Prepare and disseminate periodic project performance reports.
Identify, analyze, and respond to project risks and opportunities.
Coordinate procurement, on-site, and off-site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with site operations.

Non-Technical:

Provide visible leadership in safety and active engagement in safety practices.
Implement company-defined change management processes.
Ensure timely identification and sourcing of project staffing needs.
Define and monitor performance metrics for team members, providing feedback and bi-annual performance reviews.
Mentor, train, and coach junior colleagues.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Monthly progress reporting and meeting coordination.
Active participation in management and stakeholder meetings.
Creation and maintenance of effective work teams.
Compliance with legal and contractual frameworks.

Major Decisions:

Resolution of technical problems and accelerating solutions as needed.
Evaluation and determination of design constructability.
Alignment of project schedules with cash flow requirements.
Approval of project execution plans.
Authorization of project budgets and cost reports.
Endorsement of project schedules and progress reports.
Approval of changes in line with established change management processes.
Review and approval of contractor invoices.

Over 6 years of experience in capital project management.
Advanced degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Geology.
