Hellas Gold is one of the leading mining companies in Greece, specializing in the extraction of gold, silver, lead, and zinc.

For the Olympias Mine, we are looking for a Long-Term Mine Planning & Services Engineer to join the Technical Services team and play a key role in the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of the underground Life-of-Mine (LoM) and long-term mine plans.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong Mining Engineer with solid underground mining experience who can translate geological, operational, technical and economic inputs into robust long-term mine plans and practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Life-of-Mine (LoM) and long-term underground mine plans.
Evaluate alternative mining scenarios and provide recommendations for long-term business decisions.
Prepare long-term production, development and capital forecasts for budgets and business plans.
Develop and update underground mine layouts and designs, including declines, levels, sublevels, drives, raises and infrastructure.
Integrate geological, operational, technical and economic assumptions into long-term plans.
Prepare technical studies, reports and presentations for management and key stakeholders.
Maintain accurate planning datasets, designs and supporting documentation.
Develop long-term mine ventilation strategies, layouts and airflow models.
Plan ventilation infrastructure, including raises, airways, fans and auxiliary systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Professional Engineer registration is required.
Advanced experience with Deswik, Datamine and AutoCAD.
5–6 years of relevant experience in underground mine planning.
Proven experience in Life-of-Mine and long-term mine planning.
Experience in underground mine design and production/development scheduling.
Experience working in multidisciplinary mining environments.
Experience with Ventsim and underground ventilation planning.
Strong knowledge of underground mine design, scheduling and Life-of-Mine planning.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to integrate multidisciplinary inputs into practical long-term mine plans.
Strong communication, presentation and technical report-writing skills.
Good project management and coordination skills.
