Basic Information

Hellas Gold is the leading mining company for gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc in Greece and we are looking for a junior and a senior Surveyor Engineer. The primary role of the Surveyor Engineer is to provide best practice survey services to the Skouries site, ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining high standards for the surveying department.

Responsibilities

Provide best practice survey services, ensuring statutory compliance and high standards.
The senior surveyor oversees and guides the Survey department, ensuring accurate measurements and proper marking of excavations.
Produce required weekly, monthly, and other reports.
The senior surveyor participates and leads survey improvement projects.
Conduct weekly quality control visits to open pit and underground workplaces.
Establish survey controls, manage monthly survey activities, and ensure statutory requirements are met.
Communicate and organize work with the Kassandra mines survey team and liaise with Mine Engineering, Geology, and Mine Operations personnel.
Ensure accurate survey stations, markings, and quality execution of mining excavations.
Manage mine and survey databases, hardware, and software systems.

Requirements

Engineering

Survey & Rural Engineering

Technical University degree in Rural and Surveying Engineering
Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
At least 5+ years of operational experience in a survey environment for the senior surveyor
Proficient in Microsoft and Autodesk Packages.
Knowledge of Mining Software and Triangulation network adjustment.
Excellent English (writing and speaking).
Valid driver’s license.
High regard for safe practices.
Good organizational skills and goal-oriented.
